Non-smokers go about their day doing anything they want without worrying about cigarettes, they can be around smokers and it simply doesn't bother them at all. They might not like the smell but that doesn't make them want to smoke cigarettes.

When you have no desire for something you simply do not want it. It's like being a vegetarian at a BBQ! A vegetarian goes to a BBQ and simply does not want to eat meat. They can watch everybody else eating meat, they can see the meat and think it looks nice, they can even enjoy the smell of the meat cooking, but they simply do not desire the meat. They just go about their lives not worrying that everybody else is enjoying meat. THEY HAVE NO DESIRE!
